I have a 1995 Nissan Pulsar. It drives along nicely, then the engine stops and it glides to a halt.

I cannot start it until it has a little rest. Two garages have not been able to pinpoint a fault.

4 years ago it was doing something similar and the garage reconditioned the air flow meter. Can you think of anything it might be?

I assume the airflow meter has been checked this time also.

Has the vehicle developed the problem when in the hands of the garage staff?

Sometimes it is very difficult to try and fix a problem that the mechanic hasn't experienced first hand. Trial and error can become an expensive exercise.

If the garage has experienced the problem but haven't managed to eliminate it, then maybe its time to move on.

Let me know the area you live and I will try and recommend a garage which may be able to sort it out.
