Can you tell me how often a Honda Accord S/W 2.2 VTEC with 125,000 on the clock would need the Cam belt replaced? Would this affect fuel economy too?
Thanks

The Cam belt needs to be replaced every 100,000kms or 5 years whichever comes first.
Sounds like its overdue so be warned - if it breaks it could do some serious engine damage.
There should be no affect on the vehicles fuel consumption once replaced. If you think it's a little thirsty I'd reccommend getting the air filter element and sparkplugs checked at the same time as the belt is replaced .
