Is there a systemic fault with the injectors in the Toyota 1KD-FTV 3L diesel engines? I am advised that after 100,000 kms they can fail by leaking when parked on a incline requiring injector replacement which is extremely expensive.

You’re correct about injector replacement cost but that’s true for any Diesel.

We are not aware of any inherent weaknesses with the 3litre Toyota Diesel engine in this regard.

If you’re looking at buying a proven past service history is the important key for me. At 100K there should be plenty of life left in this vehicle if it’s had some TLC in the past.
