I filled up prior to Christmas with dirty fuel, and started experiencing loss of power from the vehicle.
I have tried contacting BP and left several messages. I drive a Jeep Grand Cherokee and have had a mechanic check the vehicle out. A diesel fuel cleaning additive was added to the half tank of diesel and the tank was topped up with clean fuel. I am still experience loss of power, esp on hills and upon take off.

We were unable to use the vehicle over the Christmas break.

This has already cost me time and money & now requires further investigation.

Any suggestions? Shouldn't BP assist me here?

Thank you.

I am surprised that BP haven't responed to you, as fuel companies generally take accusations of dirty fuel seriously.
However, in our experience, dirty fuel from a large fuel supplier such as BP is a very rare occurance. In almost all instances where dirty fuel is concerned, the fuel has been obtained from very small outlets with a low turnover, farm tanks or low volume marine outlets.
If you still have the same problem with new fuel, perhaps there's another problem with your vehicle and it's a coincidence that the problem surfaced after you had re-fuelled? However, if you feel that the fuel you obtained from BP has caused your problem, I hope you have kept samples of the fuel for testing.
In answer to the final part of your question, if the fault can be traced to dirty fuel you obtained from BP, then yes, of course they should help you.
