Hello,

I was wanting some advice on some modificatons for I was wanting to put on my Toyota 86GT as I am a little unsure what the legal requirements are.

- I was thinking about getting a TOMEI UEL header as well as an Invidia N1 catback exhaust which (Im guessing) would be around 95-100dB would I need a LVVT cert for the noise compliance in order to pass a WOF? Here is a video clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxg21foCTjY. Also would those lights in the video (smoked valenti tail lights) be legal as well.

- The TOMEI UEL header removes the catalytic converter, would that be an issue when getting a WOF?

Thanks

Hi there,
These types of modification may require LVV certification if they fall outside of the threshold. This system would likely need it as the allowable noise regulation is 87dba.
Here is a link to the wof information regarding lights and exhaust modifications, this will be the rules looked at when the car is getting a wof.
