Hi There,

I am about to import a 1985 car from the UK. It is registered and insured as a 2 seater, but has rear seats with no seatbelts. Before import/compliance, will I need to have rear seatbelt fitted or do I have to remove the rear seats?

Hi there,
The vehicle will be inspected to the standards the vehicle was manufactured as and if the rear seats have been added later, they may require removal for compliance. I would wait and see if it fails on the seat and remove if necessary. The requirements for seatbelts will also depend on the type of vehicle.
