I recently purchased a car from a Licensed Motor Vehicle Dealer.

At the time of sale the R/H wing mirror was loose and I said it had to be fixed as a condition of sale.

It was secure when I collected the car but over the next 2 months it has become loose again.

I have spoken with the salesman, who said he's going to check with the dealer principal.

However since I specified that this was a matter that was a condition of sale, I believe they have an obligation to fix it, even if it means a new mirror - which won't be cheap!!

Can you advise?

Cost is not really your concern. If it was a condition of sale the mirror be fixed, then the dealer must make a permanent repair, not one that has only lasted a couple of months.

This seems to be typical of a lot of salespeople, very keen to make a sale but very slow to correct things when they go wrong.

Don't give up Andrew demand an answer and immediate action.

It should be a no brainer on the dealers part. Not only should they be fixing the car but satisfying you as a customer as well.
