I have just purchased a 1987 Toyota Corolla Wagon and am planning on tinting the windows and wasn't sure on how dark I could go.

I've heard that I can tint the back windows at 5% and the rest of the car at 35% but I would like it as dark as possible.

The front windscreen on a car or station wagon must not be less that 70% Visual Light Transmittance (VLT) and all the other windows must not be less that 35 % VLT.

Only vans or 4WDs can have any degree of dark tint behind the driver's door.
