I have a full UK car and motorbike licence that I need to convert to a NZ licence.
A friend has said that I can convert the car element without a theory or practical test but I may have to undergo a test for the motorcycle element.
Can you please confirm if this is the case?

According to the New Zealand Transport Agency, Driver Licensing department, you can convert your current licence for both a car and motorcycle without having to sit a theory or practical test.
You need to undertake the following steps;
• Complete a form (DL5) from an NZTA agent such as the NZAA
• Present your passport or other form of official identification
• Provide evidence of your previous address which you have lived at for at least 6 months. This should be in the way of a power bill or similar.
The current cost to convert to a NZ licence is $44.30
The NZTA toll free line is 0800 822 422 if you require further clarification.
