I am about to sit and hopefully pass my restricted licence test. If successful, am I able to have my 6 month old son in the car as a passenger when driving unsupervised?

If not, is there anything I can do to get an exemption to this rule?

You can not normally carry passengers on a restricted licence without a supervisor in the front passengers seat of the vehicle.

However, if you have children who live with you and are under the care of yourself or your partner you may carry them without a supervisor being present in the vehicle.
