I am in the early stages of building my own Lotus 7 replica. I purchased a book that outlines all the chassis dimensions and the new suspension arms that need to be fabricated and welded.

I am not a qualified welder and need to know what is specified in relation to getting the vehicle certified when it is completed?

I suggest you locate your nearest low volume vehicle certifier (http://www.lvvta.org.nz/ ) as soon as possible and discuss the correct process. I'm sure you will be told the vehicle will need to be inspected and signed off in agreed stages.
