Hi I have bidded on a car.n its $12,000, i believed this car was with a large car yard, but after i won the bid, i discovered this person sounds very strange, has these cars in his back yard.I asked if I could have a AA inspection before handing the money he said no.I wish to be sure the car is what he has advertised. Do I have a right?

You don't have a right after you have bid, as placing a bid is a legal tender to purchase, therefore you have already agreed to buy the car. The time to have a pre-purchase inspection was prior to bidding.
However, if the seller is a Licensed Motor Vehicle Trader, you are protected by the Consumer Guarantees Act, so the dealer is obligated to rectify any serious defects. Therefore, there's nothing stopping you from purchasing the car, getting an inspection and if there are any serious defects, the dealer will be liable to repair them.
