Taking an innovative new direction saw the AA and AA Insurance take out the Supreme Award – and three other awards – at the 2018 TVNZ-NZ Marketing Awards last night for their AA Home Response campaign.
AA and AA Insurance won the Supreme Award, the Consumer Products & Services Sector Award, and Excellence Awards for Best Collaboration and Best Brand Extension/Innovation for their new joint venture AA Home Response.
AA Home Response connects householders with AA Home tradespeople to fix common household breakdowns like burst pipes, lockouts and electrical failures 24/7, 365 days of the year.
AA Membership and Brand General Manager Dougal Swift says it’s an honour to receive industry recognition for AA Home Response.
“AA Home Response is an outcome of our focus on extending the AA brand beyond its motoring roots while retaining the trust and expertise for which New Zealanders have relied upon us for for more than 100 years.
“The development and marketing of AA Home Response has been a fantastic collaborative effort, and we’re seeing really positive results, with more than 50,000 people already signed up.”
AA Insurance Head of Marketing and Distribution Richard Park says this is a great outcome from collaboration between likeminded partners.
“We’re both dedicated to looking after our customers, and this shows in the connection we’ve made through our campaign and the great feedback we’ve had from those who have used the service.
“I’m extremely proud of the way the teams from AA Insurance, the AA and our partners have brought AA Home to life, and this award recognises all their hard work.”
After launching in the Auckland region this February, AA Home Response is making its way down the country, with Kiwis in Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Hawkes Bay able to access the service from this month.
The 2018 awards are back-to-back recognition for the AA. In 2017, AA Membership & Brand General Manager Dougal Swift was recognised as the Marketer of the Year.
