With nationwide support and assistance close at hand, your customers can get help quickly if the unexpected happens, helping them get back on the road sooner. The result is greater peace of mind for you, a better rental experience for your customers, and added protection for your reputation.
It takes just one call from you or your customer to set the wheels in motion. Our Business Services Centre operates 24/7, 365 days a year, using electronic mapping systems and our national network of trained AA Roadservice specialists. In most cases, we fix the problem on the spot.
With AA Rental Care, your vehicles will be covered for mechanical breakdowns (Faults outside driver control e.g., radiator or starter motor issues) under one of the following categories:
- AA Rental Care Passenger - For vehicles 2,500 kg GLW and under
- AA Rental Care Light Commercial – For vehicles 2.5–5 tonnes GLW

Mechanical breakdown callouts:
AA Rental Care provides unlimited Roadside callouts for issues related to any Mechanical related breakdowns for your vehicles. Services provided for under Mechanical callouts are:
- Towing:
- AA contributes up to $200 (GST incl.) per incident
- Additional costs paid by customer/driver
- Delays possible for vehicles over 5.5m long
- Faulty Battery:
- Referral to AA Battery Services
- New battery at AA Member rate (driver pays)
- Tow to nearest service station if outside battery service area

AA Rental Care provides unlimited roadside callouts for mechanical breakdowns affecting your vehicle. Services covered under mechanical callouts include:

Services Provided for under non-mechanical callouts are:
- Free Fuel Delivery: Up to $25 Petrol or $20 Diesel (driver pays for fuel)
- Flat Tyre Change: Spare must be roadworthy; repairs at driver’s expense
- Flat Battery: Boost provided; callout fee applies
- Lockout: AA will attempt unlock; indemnity may be required
- Lost Keys: Replacement key at driver’s expense
- Incorrectly Fuelled: Tow to nearest repairer at the driver’s expense
Service Fee Refunds
If a callout fee is paid for what is initially believed to be a non-mechanical issue but is later confirmed as a mechanical fault, the fee may be refunded at AA’s discretion.
