Licensing services have a new home at 198 Grey Street, Gisborne as the AA is back in business on the East Coast.

The AA Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency previously operated out of the Gisborne Vehicle Testing Station but was forced to close when the building was sold in December 2021.

Now with a fresh building and fresh management by long-time Gisborne locals John and Shona McInnes, the Agency is up and running again, much to John and Shona’s delight.

Shona says, “We strive to offer a great service and want to ensure our customers always have a positive experience when they stop by. The new location is very well suited for our AA Agency services and we look forward to serving our community.”

John and Shona also operate the separately run McInnes Driving School and have been based in Gisborne for several years.

Customers can visit the AA Agency for all their driver and vehicle licensing requirements, including International Driving Permits (IDPs). Visitors can also join the AA or renew their AA Membership, plus a range of travel guides and maps are available.
