What location and facilities do we look for?

Successful locations tend to be on main roads or main thoroughfares.We look for good exposure, a suitably sized building, off road parking and nearby entertainment for customers.

 

What are the start up costs and agreement term?

The franchise fee and additional investment will depend upon the standard of any existing facilities. Agreements provide a five-year agreement, plus a five-year right of renewal. Contact AutoCentreSupport@aa.co.nz for a no-obligation discussion. 

 

What are the ongoing franchise fees?

There is a monthly management fee and marketing fee which is calculated as a percentage of the gross turnover of the business.

What are the required workshop standards?

AA Auto Centre workshops are uncluttered, clean, bright and well presented. We have requirements for floor and wall treatments, equipment and hazard identification.

What are the required reception standards?

Reception areas should be modern, clean and well presented. We have requirements for the fit out, including floors, walls, furniture and counters. The AA provides poster holders and a menu board that is located behind the counter.

What are the staff and uniform requirements?

    • The minimum site employment requirement is for an owner/manager, one trade qualified technician, one service technician and a receptionist. 
    • Uniform is required for staff working in the AA Auto Centre and this can either be leased or purchased. 

What tools are required?

A list of minimum tools can be provided upon request.
