Can you please advise if I am able to sit my practical Heavy Traffice grade 2 in our motorhome and what weight it needs to be to be able to do this?
Many thanks

The minimum gross laden weight of your Motorhome should be no less than 4,500kg up to a maximum of 15,000kg.
For what its worth, you can drive a Motorhome with a manufacturers maximum GVM of up to 6,000kg on a class 1 car licence provided the total road weight of the vehicle at any given time does not exceed 4,500kg.
In addition from April 2012, the total weight limit for a Class 1 licence will increase to 6000kg laden weight, or combined weight (powered vehicle and trailer).
I would have thought to sit the class 2 licence the weight limit would be 4500kg up to a maximum
of 18,000kg, 18,000kg being the maximum for a class 2 licence as stated in the NZTA website.
