Hi there, I've been searching for a vehicle, needing one with more space for luggage, etc. I first was interested in Suzuki SX4, but seems maybe a tad small, most have cvt? which I don't want. I am now looking at Toyota Wish models, driven one and very pleased, the only thing, the shape was slightly long, though easy to drive, wondered about around town and parking? Also had a thought about a Nissan note, though not sure how strong and reliable these are? Would there be any other likely alternatives to the wish, wanting 1.8Lt, 2006 up, something easy to service and no CVT transmission, with the option of laying back seats flat if needing to sleep in.Once again many thanks for all your helpful advice.

I think you should look at a 1.8l Honda Stream, its more car like with firmer suspension, it has slightly less practicality in terms of the boot aperture, performance and handling are better than expected too.

Most of the 2l Streams are CVT however the 1.8 variants are usually found with a conventional 5 speed automatic transmission the newer models 2007 on would be preferable.

We have not herd bad things about the Nissan Note however it is smaller and usually found with a CVT style transmission.
