MrAndre

Last week I had my imported Prius (2009, 3rd Gen, 113,000km) serviced at an AA service centre. I am the first NZ owner.
I asked the mechanic which grade of petrol I should use. He said he wasn't exactly sure and that I should research it, but use 95 in the meantime to be safe.
Can I use 91?
Also, there was green antifreeze in the engine when I purchased. When it was serviced at the AA centre, it was green again. Another mechanic told me it should be red as Toyota uses red. Is this true? Online opinion varies. I will ask the service centre if they used an antifreeze suitable for a Toyota Prius 2009 3rd Gen.
Thanks in advance =)

According to our data if this model has a 1.8 litre engine It should only require regular 91 octane fuel.

I believe it is unwise to mix coolants however if the coolant is green it is unlikely to cause and issues, some Toyota's do have pink / red coolant from factory.
