Hi,
I have recently sent my car in for servicing and it was noted that my front left tyre has damages to the tyre wall and needs to be replaced.

while getting quotations from tyre companies, i was informed that replacing only a single tyre is illegal.

Is that true?

Hi there,
It certainly is not illegal to only replace one tyre if only one is required. If the other tyre was almost at the end of its life, it would make sense to change both, but it's your choice.
