Our Holden Colorado was hit from behind while in stationary traffic causing damage to the rear of the vehicle and smashing the real tail light (although the bulbs miraculously still work). Although there is no issue from a structural perspective & no issues with insurance, the panel beater has advised they're 'flat out' & unlikely to be able to complete repairs until end of Nov/early Dec. Are we still able to legally drive the vehicle?

Hi there,
If the damage is likely to fail a WoF then technically you are not permitted to operate the vehicle as it is no longer in a safe state as determined by a WoF inspection.
However, it would be up to you to establish the vehicle use with the current damage in the time you are waiting for the repairs to be undertaken (explaining your situation to a police officer etc).
