I changed to 95/98 petrol as i found my V6 3.0 Toyota Kluger was getting an extra 10% mileage so the extra cost was worth it. My Kluger has electronic fuelk consumption monitoring and while i think it's somewhat optimistic, it does seem consistent, as tested by manually measuring fuel consumption. However, after using Gull as preferred fuel here in Waihi for some time I am now getting very inconsistent fuel consumption and much less km per liter.
This has happened since around this years CV19 lockdown beginning and I am suspicious that I ma not getting the fuel I am paying for.
Is fuel tested to ensure it is up to spec? It seems to me I should be getting the same fuel every time yet I am very sure I am not; what is going on here?
