Is it legal for a motorcycle to filter down between a bicycle path and a regular lane? Just asking as generally when riding home from school I get caught about 10 metres back from my turn and would appreciate if anyone was able to tell me whether it’s legal or not for me to do so.

Hi there,
I wouldn't think that you would be using the lanes correctly in this case. It may be that you would be classed as passing on the left/inside which is only allowed under certain conditions: https://www.nzta.govt.nz/resources/roadcode/about-driving/passing/
