Hi,
I bought a 2nd hand car from a dealer recently and a mechanic friend just noticed that there is a large chunk of rubber missing from the side wall of the back tyre. The dealer would have known this and has blackened the tyres so it was hard to see. Can I get them to replace the tyre? (it wont pass a wof and Im surprised it did in the 1st place!).

Hi there,
It is best to get a second opinion as to the legality of the tyre and then go back to the dealer and talk about a remedy if the safety of the tyre is compromised.
