A standard oil service is generally suitable for older vehicles, and an advanced oil service is generally suitable for newer vehicles. A standard oil service includes up to 4.5 litres of quality mineral oil or semi synthetic oil and a $30 retail oil filter. An advanced oil service includes up to 6 litres of synthetic engine oil and a $50 retail oil filter. The selection of oil will be based on the original vehicle manufacturer specifications and the recommendation of the AA Auto Centre. Surcharges may apply for additional oil, specialty oils and vehicles that require further labour to inspect. If any additional work to your vehicle is recommended, a price will be given, and your authorisation will be sought before the additional work is performed. A 26-point service, including:
- Oil & fluids: Replace engine oil and filter, check/test and top up brake, clutch, coolant, power steering, transmission, differential, and washer fluids as required.
- Battery & electrics: Test 12 volt battery and alternator; inspect and test all lights, horn, and service light reset.
- Engine & mechanical: Inspect cooling system, air filter, auxiliary belts, exhaust, steering rack, CV boots, driveshafts, suspension, and brakes (pads & discs).
- Tyres & wheels: Check condition, tread, and pressures (including spare), tyre detailing/polish.
- Visibility: Inspect and clean windscreen, test washers and wipers.
