Just last October MG proudly announced the introduction of the new MG ZS EV to New Zealand, arriving in the second half of 2022.

“MG released pricing of the new ZS EV a little over two-weeks ago, at the same time advising of a special offer for the first 500 customers who placed a deposit on the new car,” said MG Motor Australia and New Zealand CEO Peter Ciao.

“The fact we have reached the milestone of 500 customers already cements MG as the trusted and clear leader in affordable EV motoring in the New Zealand market.”

MG New Zealand will endeavour to secure additional launch volume and aspiring owners are encouraged to register their interest on MG's website - here.

The new MG ZS EV, along with all new MG models in the range, features a seven-year warranty, seven-year roadside assistance plus seven-year warrant of fitness checks.

There is a choice of two exciting grades available, the Excite from $49,990* driveaway and the range topping Essence from $52,990* driveaway. Plus, the new ZS EV continues to be eligible for the Government’s Clean Car Discount.

Exterior makeover

The ZS EV has had a striking exterior makeover which is complemented by new battery technology that offers greater range from a single charge.

A revised front fascia now more proudly pronounces ZS EV’s electric intentions while retaining the practical front-mounted charging port, which makes charging cable connection much more convenient. The LED lighting clusters, front and rear, also add a striking touch to the small electric SUV.

A new state-of-the-art 51kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, which replaces the previous 44.5kWh version, offers even more range on a single charge. In combination with a more efficient and more powerful electric motor, the new battery offers up to 320km of range on a single charge.

With a sleek new design, the new ZS EV comes packed with future-forward features including leading-edge battery and motor technology and energy saving LED lighting.

A new infotainment and navigation system is just one of several clever, stylish and value-packed enhancements for the MG ZS EV.

The new ZS EV will also offer owners its own app-based software architecture, known as iSmart. This will allow owners to perform over-the-air updates, access real-time navigation and live weather updates.
