AA Road Code Practice Test - New Login Process
The way you log in to the AA Road Code Practice Test will change from 5 November
As of 11pm on 5 November 2024, users will need to log in to their Road Code Practice Test account using an email address, instead of a username. This will help simplify the way customers access our online services.
Provided you set up your new account with the same email address you used when first registering, your new login will automatically connect to your existing account.
Please watch the video below for a guide on how to set up your new login access. For further information on the change please refer to the FAQ section below the video.
Frequently Asked questions | Answer |
---|---|
Why is the login process for the Road Code Practice Test changing? | We are updating our login process to provide a more streamlined user experience. Moving to an email-based login makes it easier for customers to manage their account. The new login system is shared across other AA online services, meaning you only need to remember one login to access multiple systems. |
What does this mean for me? |
For now, you can carry on logging into the system with your username and password as usual. After 5 November, you will need to log in using the email address you provided when you set up your Road Code Practice Test login, instead of your username. You will then be guided to set up your full login details, including a new password. Provided you still use the same email address, your account will continue as normal with your test history and credits. |
What if I don't have access to the email I used to setup my RCPT account anymore? |
Don’t worry, you don’t need to do anything until November 5. Once the new login is in place, you’ll just need to set up a new account with your active email address. After that, email our AA Driving School support team who will be able to assist in transferring your active credits from your previous account to your new one. |
Do I need to do anything before 5 November 2024? | No, you don’t need to do anything. You can continue to access and use the system with your username until the change. |
How do I log in after 5 November 2024 when the process has changed? | You will need to create a login using your email address and password to access your account - it will automatically link to your previous account if you are using the same email address. Provided you use the same email address when setting up your new access, your account will continue with your test history and credits. |
What if I have multiple usernames attached to a single email address? | The system will match you with the most recently used username the first time you log in after 5 November. If you wish to be moved to a different user or you need access to multiple usernames, please email AA Driving School (AAdrivertraining@aa.co.nz). Ensure you include your full name, the email address attached to the usernames, and the username(s) you wish to have access to in your message to us. |
Will my practice test progress and credits be transferred to my new login? | The new login will connect you with your existing account, so any pre-existing credit or test history will still be available. |
What should I do if I have forgotten which email address I used for my login? | You can contact the AA Driving school team via AAdrivertraining@aa.co.nz with your username and the team will assist you in setting up your new login. |
How do I update my registered email address, or name (first/surname) once I've setup a new account? | Follow this link and login, you can then update your details via the account settings menu. |
How do I log in to the system if I already have a MyAA / Driving Lesson Booking account? | If you already have a MyAA account, you simply need to press the login button on the Road Code Practice Test web page, or the tile in your MyAA account page and your account will automatically be created in the Road Code Practice Test system. |
What types of questions are included in Practice test? | The AA Road Code Practice Test provides tests for Class 1 Licence through to 6. The system uses the real questions from the NZ Road Code, but the “incorrect” answers for each question may not match exactly with those shown in the real computerised theory test. The look and feel is designed to be close to the real test, but is not an exact replica. |
Can I access the Road Code Practice Test on my mobile device? | Yes, the RCPT is mobile friendly and can be accessed on any device with an internet connection including smartphones and tablets. |
What happens if I run out of practice test credits? | You will have options to add more test credits to your account or you can purchase more online at AA Road Code Practice Test | AA New Zealand |
Can I share my account with someone else? | No, we do not recommend sharing a login to any system. This is to protect your privacy and prevent your personal information being shared. |
What should I do If I encounter technical issues while using the practice test? | Please take a screenshot of the issue and email us at AAdrivertraining@aa.co.nz. One of the team members will be in touch. |
Can I get a refund if I have unused credits left on my account and no longer wish to use them? | Partially used vouchers (some tests are used) and any voucher that has been redeemed will not be refunded as per our terms and conditions. |
What should I do if I have further questions? | Email AAdrivertraining@aa.co.nz with your query and one of the team members will be in touch. |
Why is my account showing as blocked? | If you’re trying to access your account after the login process changed on 5th November 2024, you’ll need to create a new login using your existing email address. To help you with this process, please refer to the video guide on our website. If you encounter any issues or need further assistance, please email us at AAdrivertraining@aa.co.nz. |
