Another Day Saved: Terms & Conditions

By submitting a story as part of the Another Day Saved initiative, you acknowledge that your story may be used by AA for marketing, advertising, promotional, communications and other business purposes, in accordance with the rights granted under Section 3 – Use of Submitted Stories of these Terms and Conditions. This may include use of your story in future or ongoing AA communications after the Promotional Period has ended.

1. General

Participation in the Another Day Saved promotion and submission of a story is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

The promotion is being run by The New Zealand Automobile Association (Incorporated), with Incorporated Society Number 215426 and its registered office at Level 5, 20 Viaduct Harbour Avenue, Auckland 1010 (the Promoter or AA).

Any enquiries about the promotion can be directed to win@aa.co.nz.

2. The Promotion

Eligibility and Entry

The competition is open to AA Members who are aged 18 years or over, excluding directors, employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its associated companies.

To enter the competition, an eligible AA Member must submit an AA Roadservice story via the Another Day Saved landing page during the Promotional Period.

Each eligible story submitted during the Promotional Period will be entered into the prize draw.

Promotional Period

The competition begins at 7:00am on 8 September 2026 and ends at 11:59pm on 27 October 2026 (the Promotional Period).

Prize

There are four prizes to be won. Each prize consists of one $500 Prezzy Card.

The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be redeemed for cash, transferred or exchanged, except at the Promoter's sole discretion. Any costs or expenses associated with accepting or using the prize, other than those expressly stated, are the responsibility of the winner.

Winner Selection and Notification

The winners will be selected by random computer draw on 28 October 2026.

The Promoter will contact each winner by email with details of the prize redemption process. If, after making up to three reasonable attempts, the Promoter is unable to contact a winner within five calendar days of the draw, that winner's prize will be forfeited and a new winner may be drawn.

If a winner does not accept their prize, the prize will be forfeited and the Promoter may conduct a further draw from the remaining eligible entries.

In determining the winners, the Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

By accepting a prize, a winner agrees to participate in reasonable publicity and marketing activities relating to the promotion, if requested by the Promoter. This may include being interviewed or photographed. The Promoter may use the winner's name, image and comments for advertising and publicity purposes in any media without further compensation, subject to applicable law.

3. Use of Submitted Stories

By submitting an AA Roadservice story through the Another Day Saved initiative, you grant the Promoter a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide and perpetual licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, share, edit, adapt and otherwise use your submitted story, in whole or in part, for AA's marketing, advertising, promotional, communications and other business purposes, across any media or channel.

This may include using your story as part of the Another Day Saved promotion and in future or ongoing AA communications after the Promotional Period has ended.

The Promoter may edit, shorten, adapt or combine your story with other content where reasonably necessary for these purposes, provided that the overall meaning and context of your story is not materially altered.

The Promoter may publish the entrant's first name and the initial of their surname in connection with the submitted story.

The Promoter may use photographs, illustrations, video footage or other visual content alongside your submitted story. Such content may be used for illustrative, promotional or reference purposes only and may not depict you, your vehicle, the AA Roadservice Officer, or the specific events described in your story. By submitting your story, you consent to the use of such content in connection with your story across any media or channel used by the Promoter.

The Promoter may contact you using the details provided with your submission to verify or discuss your story or, where appropriate, request additional information, photographs, video or participation in an interview. Any further use of material provided in response to such a request may be subject to additional terms or consent.

You retain ownership of your submitted story and any intellectual property rights you may have in it. The licence granted to the Promoter under these Terms and Conditions does not transfer ownership of your story to the Promoter.

4. Privacy

By entering the competition or submitting a story, you acknowledge that the Promoter may collect and use your personal information to:

  • administer the promotion and competition, including verifying entries, selecting and contacting winners and arranging prize fulfilment;
  • contact you in relation to your submitted story where necessary;
  • fulfil the licence rights provided under Use of Submitted stories section; and
  • otherwise manage and use your information in accordance with the AA Privacy Policy.

The AA Privacy Policy can be found at www.aa.co.nz/privacy.

5. Promoter Conditions

The Promoter reserves the right, at any time and in its sole discretion, to:

  • request entrants to provide proof of identity and/or proof of a valid entry;
  • disqualify any entrant reasonably believed to have breached these Terms and Conditions or engaged in unlawful or improper conduct, or conduct that may jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion;
  • cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion if it is not capable of running as planned for any reason;
  • provide a winner with an alternative prize, or part of a prize, of equal or greater value if a prize becomes unavailable; and
  • take any other action reasonably necessary where the promotion cannot be conducted as planned due to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical difficulties or any other cause beyond the Promoter's reasonable control.

To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter assumes no responsibility for:

  • any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft, destruction, unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries;
  • any entries not received during the Promotional Period for any reason;
  • any variation in the value of a prize;
  • any tax liabilities that may arise from winning a prize;
  • any prize that is lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with after it leaves the Promoter's possession; or
  • any loss, including indirect or consequential loss, damage or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion or prize, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

The Promoter excludes all warranties relating to the quality, suitability or merchantability of a prize and, to the extent permitted by law, limits its liability and that of its employees and agents for breach of any consumer rights to the cost of supplying the prize again.
