Free ride time with Flamingo
AA Members can enjoy 30 minutes of free ride time to use within 30 days of linking their AA Membership to Flamingo, followed by 15 minutes free every month after that.
Link your AA Membership number to your Flamingo account on the Flamingo website. Once linked, your free ride-time credits will be added automatically each month.

Set up Flamingo
If you’re new to Flamingo, download the Flamingo app and create an account. You’ll need an active Flamingo account before you can link your AA Membership.
Link AA Membership
Head to the Flamingo website and enter your AA Membership number and the mobile number linked to your Flamingo account.
Get free ride time
Once your AA Membership is linked, your 30 minutes of free ride time will be added to your Flamingo account to use within 30 days. After that, you’ll automatically get 15 minutes free every month.

Rider safety with Flamingo
Before you ride, check the safety tips in the Flamingo app and make sure you’re good to go.
A few quick tips:
- Wear a helmet and covered shoes.
- Check your brakes before you start riding.
- Keep both hands on the handlebars.
- Ride where permitted and give pedestrians space.
- Slow down near driveways, paths and busy areas.
- Ride to the conditions and avoid slippery surfaces.
- Avoid using headphones while riding.
- Never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
If you’re new to e-scooters, it’s a good idea to practise in a quiet, open area before riding near other people, vehicles or busy footpaths.

Terms and Conditions
1. Eligibility
1.1 This benefit is available to current AA Members with an active Flamingo account.
1.2 To access the benefit, Members must link their AA Membership number to their Flamingo account.
1.3 The benefit will remain active only while both the AA Membership and Flamingo account remain valid and linked.
1.4 The AA Member Benefit is limited to one Flamingo account per AA Membership. An AA Membership cannot be linked to more than one Flamingo account.
2. Offer Details
2.1 Eligible AA Members who link their AA Membership to their Flamingo account will receive:
i. 30 minutes of free ride-time credit to use within the first 30 days after successfully linking their AA Membership; and
ii. 15 minutes of free ride-time credit each month thereafter.
3. Credits
3.1 The initial 30 minutes of free ride-time credit is valid for 30 days from the date an AA Member successfully links their AA Membership to their Flamingo account.
3.2 The first monthly 15-minute credit will be issued at the beginning of the month following the month in which the initial 30-minute credit is issued.
Monthly credits are valid only for the calendar month in which they are allocated.
3.3 Credits may be used across multiple rides but apply to ride time only and do not cover unlock fees or other charges.
Unused credits expire at the end of their applicable validity period and do not roll over.
3.4 Credits are applied automatically within the Flamingo system and may be available at the same time as the initial 30-minute credit, other AA Member Benefit credits, subscriptions or promotional balances on the Member’s Flamingo account.
3.5 Where multiple credits or balances are available, Flamingo will apply them in accordance with its system rules, including applying credits with the earliest expiry date first.
As a result, AA Member Benefit credits may not be used until other available credits, subscriptions or promotional balances have been consumed.
Remaining credit can be viewed under Vouchers in the Payment tab of the Flamingo app.
3.6 Credits are non-transferable, are not redeemable for cash and cannot be exchanged.
3.7 Flamingo may reverse, adjust or cancel credits that have been applied in error or because of a technical issue.
4. Availability
4.1 Flamingo services are available only in selected locations across New Zealand and are subject to scooter and bike availability.
4.2 The benefit is subject to Flamingo’s standard terms of use and operating conditions, available at www.flamingo.co.nz/terms.
5. General
5.1 Flamingo may verify AA Membership status before applying monthly credits.
5.2 Flamingo or AA may modify, suspend or withdraw the AA Member Benefit at any time.
Where reasonably practicable, Flamingo and/or AA will provide advance notice of any material change.
Any ride-time credits allocated to a Member’s account before the modification, suspension or withdrawal will remain subject to these Terms and Conditions and their applicable expiry dates.
5.3 Misuse of the benefit or fraudulent activity may result in the suspension or removal of the benefit.
5.4 To the maximum extent permitted by law, AA and Flamingo are not liable for any indirect, consequential or incidental loss arising from or in connection with this benefit.
5.5 The scooter and bike services are provided by Flamingo. AA is not responsible for the operation, availability or performance of those services.
5.6 AA and Flamingo may collect, use and share information necessary to verify Membership eligibility and administer the benefit in accordance with their respective privacy statements.
