You can add your vehicle(s) to MyAA and opt in to receive a WoF reminder email approximately two weeks before your WoF is due.

How do I add my vehicle to get WoF Reminders?

On MyAA

  1. Log in to my.aa.co.nz

  2. Select My Vehicles from the menu

  3. Click Add vehicle

  4. Enter your rego number and click Check - this searches the NZTA database to confirm your vehicle

  5. If your vehicle is found, its year, make, and model will appear

  6. Click Add Vehicle to confirm - or No, thanks to search for a different vehicle

On the AA mobile app

  1. On the dashboard, tap  Add (+) vehicle to get WoF reminders

  2. Enter your rego number and click Check - this searches the NZTA database to confirm your vehicle

  3. If your vehicle is found, its year, make, and model will appear

  4. Click Add Vehicle to confirm - or No, thanks to search for a different vehicle

I can see suggested vehicles already listed. What are these?

If AA has vehicles linked to your AA Membership - for example from a past Roadside Assistance callout - these will appear as suggestions when you go to My Vehicles.

  1. Select the vehicles you'd like to add by ticking them

  2. Click Add Vehicle to confirm

  3. If you don't want to add any of them, click Ignore all the vehicles

How do I add another vehicle once I've already added one?

  1. Log in and go to My Vehicles

  2. Click Add another vehicle

  3. Enter the rego number and click Check

  4. Confirm your vehicle details and click Add Vehicle

How do WoF reminders work?

Once you've added a vehicle, your WoF reminder is turned on automatically. We'll send you an email reminder approximately two weeks before your vehicle's WoF expiry date.

How do I turn my WoF reminder on or off?

  1. Log in and go to My Vehicles

  2. Find the vehicle card you'd like to update

  3. Toggle the WoF reminder switch on or off as needed

Manage your vehicles

How do I view and manage all my vehicles?

Your vehicles appear as cards on the My Vehicles dashboard. Each card shows the vehicle's year, make, model, rego number, and WoF expiry date. If you have more than one vehicle, swipe left or right - or use the arrows - to scroll between them. The dots below the cards show how many vehicles you have and which one you're viewing.

To remove a vehicle, click Delete on its card.

Vehicle errors

My rego number isn't being found. What should I check?

Double-check that you've entered the correct plate number and try again. If the vehicle still isn't found, it may not be registered with NZTA - contact us for further help.

I'm getting an error about a missing VIN. What should I do?

If your vehicle doesn't have a VIN recorded, you'll be prompted to contact our Motoring Support team by email. They'll be able to assist you directly.

I'm trying to add a vehicle that's already on my dashboard. Why am I getting an error?

Each vehicle can only be added once. If you see a message saying the vehicle already exists, it's already saved to your dashboard - check your vehicle cards to confirm.
