Terms and Conditions: Purchase a new AA Health policy to go in a draw for a chance to win back your annual premium capped at $1,500

Who can enter the competition and how?

• This competition is open to people who purchase an AA Health policy between 19 August 2024 to 1 September 2024 (Entry Period). To be eligible to go in the draw, you must be: a new customer of AA Health Insurance (someone who is not an existing holder of an AA Health Insurance policy as at 19 August 2024); and

• a New Zealand resident aged 16 or older.

1. This competition is not open to any employees or contractors (or their immediate family members) of NZAA, nib or their related companies.

2. Entering this competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

3. The prize is your annual premium, up to $1,500, to be credited to your AA Health Insurance (Prize). The Prize can only be used to pay for an AA Health policy (capped at $1,500). The Prize cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. It will sit as a credit on the existing AA Health policy.

4. If the Prize, or any part of the Prize, is interfered with in any way or we cannot provide the Prize as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond nib’s reasonable control, we reserve the right at our sole discretion to provide a substitute Prize of similar value or specification.

 How will the winners be chosen and notified?

5. All eligible entrants will go into the draw. One winner will be drawn on or about 20 September 2024. Only one entry for each person will go into the draw. The Prize winner will be selected at random. NZAA’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

6. We will contact the winner within [5] days after being chosen as the winner using the email address or other contact details provided to NZAA at the time of entry. If the winner does not wish to accept the Prize or cannot be contacted or does not respond within [72] hrs of notification, that Prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner drawn from the remaining valid entries in nib’s sole discretion.

7. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NZAA and nib are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, failure, malfunction, alteration, delay in delivery, operation or transmission, or other circumstance of any kind, which may affect any person’s entry or participation in the competition.

8. NZAA and nib may request such information and take such steps as it considers reasonable to verify the validity of any person’s entry or participation in the competition and/or the identity of any person claiming to be the winner.

Privacy

9. Entrants agree that by entering the draw their personal details will be stored and otherwise processed by NZAA and nib for the purposes of administering the competition and for marketing purposes.

10. Any personal information NZAA and nib collects will be held and used in accordance with NZAA and nib’s privacy policy which can be found at https://health.aa.co.nz/privacy-policy and https://www.nib.co.nz/privacy-policy

Liability

11. To the maximum extent permitted by law, NZAA and nib will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury or death incurred or sustained as a direct or indirect result of winning or using the Prize. NZAA and nib will not be liable for any loss or damage caused directly or indirectly by any events which are beyond our control including, but not limited to war, civil disturbance, epidemic, fire, floods, acts of God or acts of government. Nothing in this clause limits your rights (if any) under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

12. This competition is promoted by nib nz limited (nib), 48 Shortland St, Auckland and the New Zealand Automobile Association, PO Box 5, Shortland Street, Auckland (NZAA, we, us or our).

13. To the maximum extent permitted by law, these terms may be updated or modified by us at any time (provided this doesn't materially prejudice anyone who has already entered the competition) and were last updated on [12 August 2024].

14. This competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
