Wander through beech forest and along the sandy foreshore of Milford Sound, learn about the area from interpretative visitor panels and enjoy fabulous views of Mitre Peak on this easy short walk. But remember to take sandfly repellent with you!

Some of the best views of Mitre Peak are from this walk.

This is an easy 30-minute loop walk suited to all ages and accessible to wheelchairs. This walk begins from the main visitor car park at Milford Sound, Fiordland, at the end of the Milford Road.

Milford Sound is 120km from Te Anau along the Milford Road (SH 94).
