Welcome to Penguin Place, a private and self-funded conservation effort dedicated to the survival of the endangered Yellow-Eyed Penguin. Small group guided tours allow fantastic and undisturbed photo opportunities of these wonderful birds at close range.
Penguin Place is fully funded by our guided tours, this funding enables habitat restoration, control of introduced predators, a research programme and rehabilitation of sick, wounded or orphaned penguins.
Accommodation is also available at Penguin Place Lodge,
Tours are lead on foot by an informative guide through a unique system of trenches and viewing hides. Duration is 90 minutes and.bookings are essential.
