Mossburn Country Park

333 Mossburn Five Rivers Rd, Mossburn, New Zealand, 9793 - View the map is a privately owned park run by Colleen and Stuart and their gorgeous Labrador, Andrew. Lovingly maintained because of their long history with the campground, holidaying here when they were travelling the country as 20-somethings themselves. Their love affair with the park grew over the years until they finally had the chance to buy it and breathe life back into the sadly failing business. Their passion for animals means they have numerous farm animals for everyone to enjoy as well as having 5 cats and their beloved Andrew as well. There is a strong focus on the farming side to this campground as not only is it a small functioning farm, there are also some old farm implements on display. The campground itself was built in 1987, Colleen and Stuart discovering it in 1990. The park hasn't changed much and the rural feeling remains. For guests staying at the park, it gives them a small slice of Kiwi rural life, a true slice of heaven, or what Colleen and Stuart often call it; Paradise. Wake up to the songs of countless birds, feed the chooks and the Peacock and hen. Meet Mary, the oldest and friendliest sheep in the park. Feed the Alpacas, but be careful, they spit! Visit the cows, the cheeky goats and the soppy rams. You may find yourselves falling in love with the park, almost as much as Colleen and Stuart themselves!
Peaceful spacious country motorcamp set in 28 acres surrounded by mountains and pristine rivers. For those who love to view the night sky, there's no need to worry about town light pollution to drown out the natural wonder of the Aurora Australis and the spectacular milky way. Enjoy a relaxed lifestyle farm setting complete with hand reared farm animals for all guests to enjoy. 3km from Mossburn on SH 97, this is the perfect stop over point approximately half way between Queenstown and Te Anau.
