Annual General Meetings

The AA’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) is held in December each year in conjunction with a meeting of the AA National Council.

At the AGM, the AA President speaks about issues of importance to the Association, the minutes of the previous meeting are approved, the annual report and Financial Statements are presented, the Auditors appointed, and the National Councillor appointed by each AA District is announced. 

35th Annual General Meeting

The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of The New Zealand Automobile Association (Incorporated) (the Association) will be held in December 2026.

Notice of Special General Meeting

A Special General Meeting of the AA will be held on: 

        Date: Friday 26 June 2026

        Time: 8:30am

        Location: Lambton 2 and 3, Level 1, InterContinental Hotel, 2 Grey Street, Wellington

All personal AA Members, who have paid their annual subscription in full, are welcome to attend the Special General Meeting in person. Entry to the Special General Meeting requires a valid AA Membership card to be shown.

Business

  1. To adopt the amended Constitution, updated in accordance with the Incorporated Societies Regulations 2023, and which promotes the AA’s District AGMs as the primary AGM engagement point for Members.

Voting options

Members, who are entitled to attend and vote, have the option of:

  1. Voting in person at the Special General Meeting; or 
  2. Appointing a proxy to attend and vote on their behalf at the Special General Meeting by delivering a completed Proxy Form by 8:30am on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, by email to legal@aa.co.nz and addressed to the attention of the Association Secretary.
